- Aged in French barrique, it has a dark ruby red colour with spicy scents of vanilla, cinnamon and liquorice. A rich, deep, powerful wine with a delicious finish reminiscent of caramelised peppers, spiced plums and cloves. Marries perfectly with dark meats, steaks, slow roasted lamb with thyme, herby sausages and ripe, aged cheeses. Will age nicely for up to 10 years or more.
