This red wine is the result of a careful vinification of select grapes which all have different ripening times, Merlot being the earliest. During the ageing, the wines are assembled in oak barrels with frequent bâtonnage (stirring the lees). The wine is then matured in stainless steel tanks, whilst a part of it evolves for 6 months in second passage tonneaux. Serairosso is deep ruby red with shades of purple and its fruity bouquet is reminiscent of cherry, plum and berry. Medium-bodied with a well balanced structure and a soft, enveloping mouthfeel. Drink with rich pasta dishes such as lasagne and parmigiana di melanzane, mushroom risotto, roast chicken, cold meats and medium-aged cheeses.
