Five generations of the Coos family have been producing wine on the hillslopes of Ramandolo, in north-eastern Italy, since the 1800s and today’s winery is a run by a group of friends. These friends are, however, experienced and passionate wine growers who understand the land, the climate, the seasons and what it takes to produce excellent wine.
The harvest is still done by hand in the traditional way – this is the only way of working on the steep terraced slopes – but the winery now has new vine stock and new cellars; a wonderful marriage of old tradition and new experimentation.
And, how lucky that they are all friends in it together!
These big flavour-packed whites, made from autochtonous grapes, arrived in March 2016. They are simply perfect for spring and summer! Best drunk young and fresh so what are you waiting for?
