Cascina Albano Vineyard is a small family-run winery in the hills of Barbaresco in the heart of the Langhe region in the province of Cuneo: in short, it’s in Piedmont one of the most prestigious enological areas in the world.
Born in the early 1900s, the winery today is run by two generations of the original wine-producing Vacca family. Natale Vacca brings his meticulous and traditional Piedmontese expertise to the wine-making while Marco and Elisabetta, having studied Viniculture and Enology abroad, bring a modern, creative and global perspective to the business as a whole.
Much of the work in the vineyards is done by hand and their philosophy is to respect the classic Piedmontese wines while putting their own stamp on the traditional. They are as passionate about outside the bottle as inside and their colourful, arty and imaginative labels give a nod to the characteristics of each wine. For Cascina Albano, every bottle is prepared with love, every wine is part of the family and, like all families, everyone is an individual.
A cask of wine works more miracles than a church full of saints" - Italian proverb
