Buglioni vineyard started out as the purchase of a family home surrounded by vineyards in 1993 and since completing the renovation of the farmhouse and underground cellar in 2000 has became a serious contender in the production of excellent Valpolicella wines. The vines were originally a bit of fun, enjoyed by family and friends; the first harvest came after only 2 months and the family admit to not really knowing what they were doing. With time, real passion took hold and it was clear they could and should develop their incredible wines for more than friends’ birthdays , family celebrations and Saints days. In 2000, they approached the Oenology Institute of San Michele all’Adige in Trento looking for a young enologist who could help. Enter Diego Bertoni with all his mastery and skill and eager to work his magic on the vines that were sitting there just waiting to reveal their age-old secrets to knowledgeable grape blenders. Diego is still there today, creating superlative wines with his magician’s touch.
